Kunde Estate Sangiovese Sonoma Valley 2006

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Smoky and woodsy on the nose with notes of roasted strawberry fruit and cigar wrapper. Soft and rather lightweight in the mouth with brilliant little austere tannins supporting bright red fruits. there are nice accent notes of smoke and dried herbs that feed into the long finish that tightens up just a bit as the tannins begin to close in. This has a lovely feel and good freshness to the fruit but it lacks a bit of depth. 87pts
