Kunde Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma Valley Estate Grown 2007
"More than any other grape variety, Cabernet Sauvignon at Kunde Family Estate seems to produce a distinctive flavor profile year after year. Our 2007 vintage of Cabernet maintains that tradition. From the opening aromas of raspberries and rosemary, you'll know this wine couldn't be from any place but Kunde. The flavors of cherries and cocoa powder reflect the distincitve red soil of our estate. Pasta with a Tuscan style meat sauce or beef tenderloin prepared with a paprika infused wine sauce will bring out the fruit flavors of this velvety wine."
Family owned and operated for five generations, Kunde Family Estate produces ultra-premium, estate-grown wines that are sustainably farmed in the finest traditions of Northern California's renowned Sonoma Valley.
Editorial Reviews for Kunde Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma Valley Estate Grown
A bit woody on the nose with a touch of lavender accenting the core of spicy black fruit. Super fresh in the mouth with a clear, crisp character to the blackberry/blueberry fruit. The tannins are well judged and very crisp accenting the long finish and while this is happy and exuberant it lacks a little complexity. 87pts
Well integrate nose of cigarbox and deep meaty fruits with hints of rootbeer, vanilla and a light peppery note. Big on the palate and packed with chewy, super-ripe tannins that help to fill the mouth with lovely cedary toned black fruits. There are lovely creamy accents to the mid-palate and hints of roasted herbs and spice adding complexity. The fruit is propped up by bright acids that pop on refreshingly on the moderately long, slightly spicy finish. 91pts
Great wine for the price! Wonderful nose and a good structure and deep dark red hue. This is a winner at this price point! Great quality for what you actually pay. I highly recommend this wine for its smooth opulent structure and price! Cheers!
Found this at Trader Joe's after our Sonoma trip. Perfectly bold and smooth at the same time. Fantastic value. Drank with cheese then steak. Bottle was too good to see the light of the next day.
Too much fruit, no value.
Four and a half glasses
Nice ripe cab nose driven by currant. Flavors of red currant and some graphite on big, hot tannins. - Tasted at winery Feb 2011

Kunde is a family owned wine estate in Sonoma Valley that’s been around for over 100 years. All of its wines are estate bottled, produced from grapes grown in its own 1,850 acres of vineyards, which is very unique in this day and age. What else is unique about Kunde is their commitment to sustainable farming and environmentally beneficial practices throughout the winery. Kunde Estate was awarded the Governors Environmental and Economic Leadership Award. This is California's highest environmental honor. And with that, they still make outstanding wines like this Estate Cabernet, aged 14 months in French and European oak. The 2010 was selected by Wine Enthusiast Magazine an Editors Choice with a score of 91 points they said "Tasted alongside Cabs costing up to five times more, this wine shows very well. It’s dry, balanced and elegant, offering blackberry, currant, tobacco and cedar flavors that offer lots of complexity. Fully ready to drink now."
A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 2005 Kunde Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 750ml
Wine Tasting NotesThe Kunde Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is the epitome of Sonoma Valley Cabernet; herbal accents of fennel and anise wrap around a core of black raspberry and black cherry flavors so typical of Kunde's rolling hills and steep mountain grape blocks. A touch of Syrah, Malbec, and Petit Syrah adds color and richness to the wine - we'll break with the French blending tradition if it reveals the best of our land and its fruit! This fabulous wine was crafted using 80% hillside fruit. Grill some smoky pork chops stuffed with apples and gorgonzola, open a bottle of Kunde Estate Cabernet, and impress your mouth.

Made from a blend of 87 percent cabernet sauvignon with 12 percent syrah and one percent malbec, this bold, yet fresh cab has rich, deep color and full body. Aromas of black cherries whet your palate, while the mouth-filling blackberry and dark, Mexican chocolate flavors are followed by youthful chalky tannins. Don't wait for a steak; this wine is great with burgers, short ribs and pasta with tomato-based sauce.
