Brilliant, zingy and ultimately subtle, with layers of stony, minerally character around a lively core of pineapple, lime and green apple flavors, lingering effortlessly on the bracingly tart finish. Has miles to go. Drink now through 2014.(WS)
This Chardonnay balances flavor intensity with subtle winemaking to produce an elegant wine that we found reminiscent of a nice Burgundy, with its rich core of apple fruit and gently assertive notes of vanilla, tropical flowers and earth.
