This wine is made up of 85% Clone 4 Cabernet Sauvignon from Stagecoach Vineyard and 15% Malbec from Krupp Vineyard. It was crushed separately and fermented in macro bins for 19 days. I homogenized the 2 varieties when we basket pressed to tank for settling then to 90% new French oak barrels for 20 months. If there was ever a sexy, silky velvet textured wine that you can't stop sniffing, this is it! Nothing but freshly crushed red cherry, blackberry, mint spice, and currant explode from the glass while a sweat smoke resonates to round out.
