Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Winemaker's Notes:

Bottle Size: 750 mlVineyard: Stagecoach Vineyard, Napa ValleyVarietal Composition: Merlot with small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Petit VerdotWinemaker's Notes: A rich reddish-black hue. Aromas of dried cherries, sweet soy sauce, violets, dried figs, cassis, dried cranberries, and spices. The palate transitions to sweet currants, dark cherries, and ripe plums. This is a dense and well focused Merlot that displays a fine and persistent finish with a hint of tarriness at the finish. Best served with roasted leg of lamb, veal ragout, and venison sausages. Enjoy now through 2018.
