Kruger-Rumpf Riesling Kabinett Münsterer Pittersberg 2005

Member Review by Uwe Kristen:

Medium lemon color. Medium aroma intensity. Very mineral, apricot fruit, wet wood, florals, malt and cow manure. Medium sweet with high acidity. Low alcohol and light body. Medium intensity of apricot, minerals and blackberry flavors. Medium length. The wine benefits from aeration. The aromas develop and take on a much earthier note than the initial mineral/apricot scents. The aromas of this Riesling are very complex and I must say I love that hint of cow manure. It reminds of driving through the countryside on a bike. Aromas and flavors are very well balanced as are residual sugar and acidity levels. It is still very young and I am looking forward to tasting this again in 5-7 years.

We want to indulge you with our expressive, high quality wine. Our grapes ripen in sunny, steep hillsides safe from wind within the Nahetal and Rheinhessen region. What we care about is a strong crop reduction in the vineyard as well as a gentle treatment of the grapes. In order to guarantee best quality, we harvest our grapes by thorough hand picking. Afterwards, we grant our wine sufficient time and rest in the cellar. As a family business, we don’t only care about our wine, but also about our customers. They are supposed to feel good at our winery. In our wine tavern, you can relax and enjoy a fine meal as well as our wine in a comfortable atmosphere. Have some pleasurable moments at our house!
