Wine Enthusiast ReviewThere is great intensity to this finely crafted Champagne. Its rich and toasty, with flavors of ripe gooseberries and, in this example, some good bottle age. Henriot, which also owns Bouchard Pere et Fils in Burgundy, is obviously on a good streak at the moment.
Hints of pear and vanilla pastry mark this light-bodied Champagne. Well-integrated and smooth, with the vivid structure emerging on the finish. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.(WS)
What a sensational value! Made by Trevor Jones in partnership with importer Dan Philips, this is a blend averaging 46 years in age. Its light to medium ruby hue is accompanied by an extraordinary bouquet of sweet candied fruit intermixed with notions of maple syrup, earth, and hazelnuts. This gorgeous tawny delivers plenty of pleasure.(Wine Advocate)
Expressive aromas of banana peel, macerated cherry, nutmeg, Sherry, beer barrel and malt are substantial, yet not heavy. Stylized, toasty flavors of orange, beer and yeast with oxidized notes. Flinty, dry finish concludes with a tart peach flourish.
Wine Spectator ReviewA rich, aromatic and medium-bodied bubbly, full of pencil shavings, honey and candied fruit flavors allied to a moderately firm structure. Fine length. Drink now.
