Krohn is much better know for it´s amazingly rich colheitas and old tawnies. Their vintage ports are a little more soft, sweet and more acessible younger than the Dow´s, Taylors, Fonsecas, Grahams and the like. We tasted this one blind and I guessed it as a LBV for its upfront readiness and style. Well this seems to be more of their vintage port style and it is quite good. It´s dark colored with a little aging on the rim. Very ripe cherries and plums on the nose and a slight mentol. Later it started showing some clear chocolate notes.
