Kramer Vineyards Pinot Gris Yamhill-Carlton 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

The grapes were whole cluster pressed, and settled overnight in a tank. The juice was racked to a stainless steel tank for cool fermentation. After a light bentonite fining, the wine was settled and transferred to a tank for aging. Just prior to bottling, the wine was filtered.

Our goal is to produce wines that are true expressions of varietal, vineyard, and vintage. We believe this is achieved through a combination of sustainable viticulture practices and a winemaking philosophy that is driven by the flavor profile and composition of the fruit at harvest. We produce Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Müller-Thurgau, Carmine, sparkling, rosé, and dessert wines. Read less

Tasting Notes:

This light yet flavorful, aromatic wine is dominated by honeyed tropical fruits, including passionfruit, and guava, with hints of marzipan. The light, off-dry texture reveals crisp fruit flavors of peach, apple, nectarine, grapefruit, lemon, guava, and fig, with a clean finish.
