Kourtaki Muscat Samos NV

Member Review by rreichert:

Paired with roasted seasonal fruits in phyllo with honey and nuts, ouzo/yogurt cream (Whole Foods, Counter Culture: Greek Isles). Paired well with cream and honey, but the sweetness of the fruit did not balance well with the wine and gave the impression of increased acidity. On it's own, or with perhaps a tart or rich pairing it is marvelous. Would like to try with cheeses or crème brulée. Honey, nut, floral.

Tasting Notes:

This bright amber wine offers a nose featuring honey aromas, accented by orange rind and lemon. The palate echoes the notes of the nose, incorporating them into a lingering finish. Recommended to serve on its own, or paired with desserts or fruit. Should be served chilled.
