I have been fortunate to receive an allocation of Kosta Browne wines for the last 4 years, after about 3 years on their waiting list. Since 2006 (my first) both this Russian River and the Sonoma Coast have been my favorite wines. This is the kind of wine that you save for those special occasions and life moments that you want to frame by sharing a GREAT bottle of wine. It's memorable with amazing cherry, spice, pepper - with complimenting tannins that speak to its ability to age.

A very nice Pinot with nice cherry and strawberry on the nose. The palate seems to have layers of red fruit but the strawberry and raspberry are oh so slight with the cherry being most dominant with intermixed spice/cinnamon detection. Drank at an outdoor dinner in which the outside air turned cooler and the wine enhanced as it cooled also. Very nice and glad I have another to enjoy!

Winemaker's Notes:

92 points California Grapevine: Medium-light to medium ruby; attractive, forward, intense, raspberry and cherry fruit aroma; medium-full body; rich, textured, firmly structured, dark cherry fruit flavors with good depth and concentration; medium to medium-full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Showed some complexity as it developed with airing in the glass, though needing several more years of bottle aging. Very highly recommended. 14.6% alcohol; released March 2014. (Apr 2014)
