Enjoyed 2 half bottles at Picco Restaurant in Larkspur (out of full bottles). The first bottle was amazingly smooth, light, complex, not fruity, a superb pinot. Oddly, the second bottle had an initial musty odor, characteristic of an aged italian or french wine; I suspect it was stored in a cold cellar. It was also excellent, but needed to open a little and reach the correct temperature. This is as good as Pinot gets.

Deep and dark with brooding intesity. This is a very full flavored pinot that will open the tired mans eyes and make a baby weep. Big pure dark cherries, milk chocolate, chewy tannins, and an acid level slighty above eye level. A medium weight Oinot with a very long silky finish.

Not as dense as previous vintages, but this wins extra points for its balance and delicacy, with complex mineral, fresh earth, boysenberry, wild berry and raspberry fruit that gains depth and richness without gaining weight.
