Kosta Browne Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast Gap's Crown 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): The 2013 Pinot Noir Gap's Crown is the biggest and richest of the Sonoma Coast Pinots. Dark red cherry, plum, new leather and cedar flesh out in a radiant, distinctly supple Pinot for the year. The Gap's Crown is all about depth, voluptuousness and texture. A touch of whole clusters add an attractive dimension of nuance. Drink: 2016-2022. (May 2015)

Flavorful, intense wines - that is our goal. We believe every wine should be bursting with flavor. This intensity should be part of a greater balance. We find that each of our vineyards has its own "sweet spot" of balance. It is our charge to guide each vineyard to its optimum flavor potential. Our single vineyard wines are blended to express the specific qualities and consistencies of our pedigreed vineyards. Pinot Noir is the perfect palate to define the terroir of these plantings. We offer two appellation wines: our Sonoma Coast and Russian River. These wines are blended to represent the best of our vineyards in each specific appellation. Quality is of utmost importance with these blends. Read less
