Kosta Browne Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast 2014

Winemaker's Notes:

Nose: Lifted red fruits, smells like the coast, herbs, freshness, spring tips, citrus tones, cedar, earth. Mouth: Precise fruit, red and crisp, fresh, pretty texture: grippy with bitter chocolate, rose hips. Barrel aged 15 months in 55% new French oak. Alcohol 14.4%. Not yet reviewed; 2013 vintage rated 93 points by Wine Spectator: Delivers a pure, focused core of wild berry, raspberry, gravel, anise, dried herb and savory notes that are pleasantly tannic. The fruit pushes through in the end, finishing in a juicy, mouthwatering manner. Drink now through 2022.

Flavorful, intense wines - that is our goal. We believe every wine should be bursting with flavor. This intensity should be part of a greater balance. We find that each of our vineyards has its own "sweet spot" of balance. It is our charge to guide each vineyard to its optimum flavor potential. Our single vineyard wines are blended to express the specific qualities and consistencies of our pedigreed vineyards. Pinot Noir is the perfect palate to define the terroir of these plantings. We offer two appellation wines: our Sonoma Coast and Russian River. These wines are blended to represent the best of our vineyards in each specific appellation. Quality is of utmost importance with these blends. Read less
