Kosta Browne Pinot Noir Russian River Valley Rosé 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Our 2005 Russian River Pinot Noir is a blend of five vineyards; Cohn, Koplen, Amber Ridge, Ketcham and Castaldi. All of these vineyards lie in the middle to northern Russian River Valley. The style is deep and rich with a velvety texture that is prominent from start to finish. We recommend drinking this wine between 2008 and 2013 . AROMATICS: Fresh cherry, bright raspberry and cranberry with hints of cola nut and spice. ON THE PALATE: Bright acidity greets the palate, carrying red stone fruit and cherries. The midpalate boasts of creamy raspberry and fresh plum. Clean, juicy structure offers an extended finish, with lingering bing cherry and raspberry. Flavorful, intense wines - that is our goal. We believe every wine should be bursting with flavor. This intensity should be part of a greater balance. We find that each of our vineyards has its own "sweet spot" of balance. It is our charge to guide each vineyard to its optimum flavor potential. Our single vineyard wines are blended to express the specific qualities and consistencies of our pedigreed vineyards. Pinot Noir is the perfect palate to define the terroir of these plantings. We offer two appellation wines: our Sonoma Coast and Russian River. These wines are blended to represent the best of our vineyards in each specific appellation. Quality is of utmost importance with these blends. Read less

No detailed notes. Goofd, but hot. Needs to be cold.
