Food Pairings for Kosta Browne Pinot Noir Russian River Valley Amber Ridge Vineyard
We had this at Epic steakhouse. It was the best wine I have ever had.
The complete oppisite to the Kanzler poured directly befor it. The color deep garnet with purple tinges. Wonderful red fruit profile that reminds me more of a Burgundy that a Cali. Spring flowers and sweet red fruits on the nose. The tongue revealed crushed pebbles, red cherries, and some cinnamon. There is a clean and pure medium weight feel that exudes elegance grace and class. Nice minerality and structure with a acid level that sits smoothly and crisply in the background. Long graceful aftertaste. Wow
Many Pinots disappoint me. Why can't those disappointments drink this wine and toss out what they've done?
This wine disappointed me, in fact it was gross. Too much alcohol, too much oak and too much thick syrupy body. The only thing we could have paired with this glob of viscous mass would have been some sort gamey meat like boar with a reduction sauce, otherwise, NOT my style of pinot noir

Our 2005 Russian River Pinot Noir is a blend of five vineyards; Cohn, Koplen, Amber Ridge, Ketcham and Castaldi. All of these vineyards lie in the middle to northern Russian River Valley. The style is deep and rich with a velvety texture that is prominent from start to finish. We recommend drinking this wine between 2008 and 2013. Aromatics: Fresh cherry, bright raspberry and cranberry with hints of cola nut and spice. On the palate: Bright acidity greets the palate, carrying red stone fruit and cherries. The mid-palate boasts of creamy raspberry and fresh plum. Clean, juicy structure offers an extended finish, with lingering bing cherry and raspberry.
