Koonunga Hill 2003

Winemaker's Notes:

The Thomas Hyland range honors the pioneering spirit of Thomas Hyland, son-in-law of Dr. Christopher Rawson Penfold, whose stewardship of the company from the late 1800's until 1914 saw the development of what, in his lifetime, became Australia's most famous name in wine. Sourced from premium viticultural districts of South Australia, this wines offer a contemporary expression of varietal flavor and structure.Winemaker, Peter Gago...this wine is deep red in color, with a nose showing sappy, varietal berried fruits with hints of nutmeg, background oak. On the palate, notice plum, mocha coffee and vanillin flavors. This wine has a firm palate, yet one that shows the balanced Penfolds oak maturation influence, and chunky, yet ripe tannins. Ready to drink now like other South Australian Cabernet Sauvignons. Pairs well with beef, lamb, or veal.Original Price: $15.00Sale Price: $12.0020% Off Less than 10 cases left!

Aromen nach Pflaumen, Mocca und Eiche. Feiner rauchiger Hintergrund und leicht parfümierte Nase. Im Abgang nochmals hochlebend und bleibend mit Noten von schwarzen Beeren, Mocca und Zedernholz.
