The Konzelmann Estate Winery was established in 1984 on the shores of Lake ontario by the Konzelmann Family. Herbert Konzelmann picked the location for the winery on the shores of Lake Ontario because the soil conditions and micro-climate of the region are ideal for making premium-quality white wines. Herbert Konzelmann - Friedrich's Great Grandson, 100 years later continues the family tradition of making fine wines Lake, Ontario, Canada in Niagara. The Konzelmann Estate Wines are enjoyed by wine enthusiasts from over the world. It's a great travel destination for all wine lovers. The Protection Provided by the Nearby Niagara Escarpment, combined with the moderating influence of the lake, provides a longer growing period for the "noble" Vitis vinifera vines of Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Chardonnay grapes. The cool-climate viticulture conditions are often enhanced by a "Indian Summer" warming in autumn that allows a late harvest.
