Knob Creek 9 Year Old Kentucky Bourbon 90 NV

Winemaker's Notes:

"Smells of sweet corn, buttered popcorn and pistachio nuts in the early stages; later whiffs pick up well-endowed scents of sautéed butter, oaky vanilla, beeswax and linseed oil. Palate entry is full-bodied, sweet and honeyed; at midpalate the taste profile turns drier, more intensely grainy-mashy and breakfast cereal-like. Finishes with notes of nougat, almonds, candy bar, and oak....90-95" WE 6/05

They're serious about their oak. It's where I like it at the point of drying out the tongue with every sip. Has a pleasant rich, sweet vanilla and caramelly character. It goes down with a clean, intense, and pleasant burn. I like to breathe through my nose as I sip and savor that cleansing feeling in my sinuses.

Ever wonder what was behind the grimace in those classic movies, whenever some tough guy takes a swig of whiskey? Bottled at 100 proof like all great pre-prohibition bourbons and named after the childhood home of Abe Lincoln. Warm, spicy, nutty and satisfying. "A bourbon of reckoning."

(cRc recommended) The taste is rich, sweet, woody, full-bodied, and almost fruity. 100 Proof

Hand-bottled in limited quantity for superior taste & smoothness.Deep in Kentucky, tiny Knob Creek spills and riffles down through the hills. Like the bourbon bearing its name, there's not much of Knob Creek but what there is rewards your
