The Knipser estate has been family owned since 1850 and the winery is run by the talented and genial brothers Werner and Volker Knipser in the small village of Laumersheim. The Knipser family enjoys a rich history, originating in Italy in the 16th century and emigrating to Rheinpfalz around 1615. The Kapellenberg vineyard location is characterised by a alluvial, light kind of soil with gravel and sand. The harvest is done completely manually -- partly in multiple passes. This dry riesling shows elegance that carries through it's crisp, clean finish.
