What to Expect

Zinfandel is considered America's own great indigenous grape, even though its origins lie on the Adriatic coast. Planted throughout California and the Pacific Northwest, Zinfandel is at its best in warm regions with cooler temperatures during harvest. The wines can range from off-dry Rosés, White Zinfandels, and light bistro styled wines, to big, rich powerful wines - even luscious wines for dessert bottling. The flavors range from plummy to raspberry, although deep blackberry fruit and brambly spice tones are most common.

Reviews

this is a great wine. Wondefully value priced. You can have confidence when you pop open a bottle that you will enjoy your choice. I have purchased this many times over - at vino, even found a few bottles a bev mo an long time ago. Lots of berries, smooth finish - low tannins. Definitely a must try.

Nice zinfandel. Loaded with berries. This is one of my staple wines by the glass at one of our local steak houses.

Very nice, easy-drinking zin. Lots of berries on the palate, with some chocolate notes as well. Medium finish with softer tannins. Very approachable and delicious!

This hearty, full-bodied red comes from Zinfandel vines that are well over 50 years old. The wine shows intense concentration, packed with berry flavors set off by spicy oak, and aromas of dark fruit contrasting with fresh herbal notes.
