Rating: 95/100 - As reviewed by International Wine Cellar in Issue 132, May/June 2007 ($65) Green-gold. Strong iodine and sulfide tones accent bright pink grapefruit and lemon, with an intriguing smoked meat quality adding depth. Deep, concentrated and mineral-driven, with strong citrus and quince flavors, but the soil tones are even more pronounced. A singular, intensely scented and flavored chardonnay, with great character, concentration and power. This was one of the most memorable wines of my trip. Kistler says that it will be the longest-lived of the vintage's chardonnays.
