What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Winemakers Notes

Green-tinged pale yellow. Perfumed, nuanced aromas of lime blossom, nut oil, and stone fruits. A vibrant, bright, and precise wine with impressive flavor intensity and length. Delicious now and will reward further aging.

WA 91-93 (12/2003): Big, roasted, nutty notes along with orange marmalade, lemon candy, peaches, and exotic tropical fruits jump from the glass of the light straw-colored 2002 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard. This flamboyant, showy effort is the most extroverted of Kistler’s 2002 Chardonnays.
