User Reviews for Királyudvar Furmint Tokaji Sec
Add your reviewCrisp lemon citrus on the nose. Grapefruit pith, some salinity and mums. Some straw and a stemmy quality. On the palate, it's so vibrant and bright it seems effervescent. Juicy acidity balanced by a moderate sweetness. Lip smacking. Stony minerality, a peachy suggestion and floral citrus flavors. It's called "sec", but it's not too sweet. Just the right amount to stand up to the acid. Interesting, unique and nice. I think it would pair well with light dishes, seafoods and spicy Asian dishes. Nice to sip on its own. 89 pts. 7/11/12
External Reviews for Királyudvar Furmint Tokaji Sec
A classic late-harvest Furmint produced from shriveled berries untouched by botrytis from high atop our Lapis vineyard. A striking Tokaji bouquet of pink grapefruit and white flowers gives this wine a sense of place, which is further accented on the palate. Fresh and viscous, this wine exudes stone fruit wrapped around a tight mineral core. This is a smooth polished wine with a long and lingering finish. For a dynamic food and wine combination, pair this wine with butterfish or terrine. - WineryGrape Varietal: 95% Furmint, 5% HárslevelűPrimary Vineyards: 100% LapisAlcohol Content: 11.5%Residual Sugar: 60 g/lTotal Acidity: 6.0 g/lFermentation: 100% Hungarian oak
