User Reviews for Királyudvar Furmint Tokaji Sec

Winemaker's Notes:

A gorgeous dry white emerged in this vintage from a selection of beautiful berries harvested from across all the company's planted vineyards. Our '07 bottling radiates a light lemon yellow color in the glass with a full bouquet of tangy citrus notes and white May flowers. The vintage's earlier harvest and bottling brings out the youthful energy of our Sec. This versatile dry white wine openly reveals its smooth surface and thick texture, while maintaining a welcoming suppleness. A strong structure firmly supports a bigger and rounder body. A pleasant grapefruit flavor and pronounced minerality in a focused finish come to the immediate foreground as the wine's intensity and focus persist in the background.

Tasting Notes:

Los Angeles Times 'Wine of the Week': The bouquet of flowers and citrus jumps right out of the glass. Its intensity, lively acidity and minerality make the 2007 a terrific wine with food. I've practically gone through a case already, drinking it with charcuterie, smoked salmon, oysters and tuna tartare. It's terrific with Thai food. I also like it with cheese. (3/3111)
