Kingston Family Vineyards "Tobiano" Pinot Noir 2013

External Review:

Bright red. Spicy red berries and cherry on the nose, with a light touch of cracked pepper. Dusty and firm, with dried red berry flavors, silky tannins and a dry finish. Not bad.

Kingston Family Vineyards:
The Kingston Family first came to Chile in the early 1900's. Carl John Kingston, the patriarch and pioneer, came to Chile looking for copper (good idea) and gold (crazy idea). "Gramps" Kingston was an American originally from Central Mine, Michigan, which exists only as a ghost town today in Michigan's upper peninsula.

Nice fruit and some juicy bounce are the hallmarks of this pleasant, stylish Pinot Noir. The nose has bright plum and raspberry, but the aromas and flavors are controlled and wholesome, not funky or stretched thin. With a pinch of oak, this wine more than makes the grade.
