Kingston Family Vineyards Bayo Oscuro Syrah 2014

Winemaker's Notes:

94 Points, James Suckling: "A wine with density and reserved character. Full to medium body, fine tannins and a silky finish. Shows stone and berry flavors yet has hazelnut and light cedar undertones. Drink now." 05/16 Kim Marcus, Wine Spectator: "Ripe and densely structured, with concentrated dark plum and roasted cherry flavors that feature plenty of smoky and meaty notes. Asian spice and dark chocolate details fill the finish. Drink now through 2019. 120 cases made." 10/16

Kingston Family Vineyards:
The Kingston Family first came to Chile in the early 1900's. Carl John Kingston, the patriarch and pioneer, came to Chile looking for copper (good idea) and gold (crazy idea). "Gramps" Kingston was an American originally from Central Mine, Michigan, which exists only as a ghost town today in Michigan's upper peninsula.
