Kings Ridge Winery Pinot Gris 2008
This Oregon beauty shows a wonderful nose of tropical fruit ripe Bartlett pears and citrus oil. In the mouth honeyed flavors of apple pear melon and mineral notes are given depth by its crisp acidity and lengthy finish. Not to mention the wine has a wonderful nutty finish that keeps you reaching for another glass. A perfect match for grilled salmon shellfish grilled chicken and slightly aged and semi-firm cheeses. Enjoy!
Very well balanced. A sweeter, wine with honey overtones, but not sweet like a desert wine. Very drinkable and works with diverse pairings.
2009. The best, most interesting Pinot Gris I have tasted in a while. Citrus and grapefruit, maybe a bit of apple, give this a touch of sweetness up front, but at its core its nice and dry. Well-balanced and delicious!
