Dry. Doesn't taste like passion fruit or lychee like a lot of Sauv Blancs. Pleasant acidity with nice floral bouquet. Grassy notes. Great with salads, seafood, cheese and bread. A nice wine.
I really enjoy King Shag because of the price at trader joes and the quality. I think it compares to Kim Crawford and Brancott, which are two others from the famous New Zealand region. I also really like St Lukes sauvignon blanc that sells for $5.99 at trader Joe's. It is very similar. All great buys.
love this wine- I am from Europe and to buy a decent bottle of Marlborough sauvingon blanc you are talking at least £10(british pounds) Cannot believe you can get this for $7.99!! Always available at Trader Joes, Its up there with cloudy bay and Nobilo for sure for almost half the price- BARGAIN !
