There is plum and black currant on the nose with hints of cranberry, mushroom, tobacco, and leather. On the mouth, dark chocolate and coffee, with rich cherry and firm tannins. Tannins are lingering. Drink now through 2012. 500 cases produced.

- Though I'm normally not a fan of merlots, I enjoyed the ripe fruity flavors in this particular wine. I served it with Italian food, but it tasted great long after the meal was done.
