Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc Schroefdop Nieuw Zeeland Sauvignon Blanc Kim Crawford 2011
One of the reasons why New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs have taken the world by storm. Delightful to the point of exuberance, this is a great wine for drinking alone of with lighter fare.

Pink grapefruit, lemon zest, very light in color, more grapefruit. This sauv blanc has plenty of citrus kick, great summer wine.
Lots of pineapple. Exactly what I expected a very solid bottle of sauvignon blanc.

An intensely rich wine with a multitude of flavours. It is held together with firm acidity, beautiful fruit sweetness and lashings of tropical fruit flavours. The wine has good length and is very persistent in the mouth.
Upfront herbaceous aromas, backed by ripe fruit flavors of melon, passionfruit and crisp acidity. Good to drink with anyone at anytime. Ideally suited to fresh oysters, asparagus dishes or summer salads.

The appearance is Bright, light green, with aromas of citrus and tropical fruits backed by characteristic herbaceous notes that Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is renowned for. the flavor is exuberant, brimming with flavors of pineapple, passionfruit, stonefruit, and a hint of herbaceousness. The finish is fresh, zesty, and lingering.
Decant this wine to get past its initial reduction and you’ll find a generous, citrus-scented sauvignon, its aromas ranging from Kaffir lime to fresh tangerine. The reduction shifts toward flintiness, adding an edge for roast scallops or any roast fish.
Marlborough, New ZealandKim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc is an excellent expression of the Marlborough appellation of New Zealand. Owner/winemaker Kim Crawford produced his first wines under the Kim Crawford label in 1996, following stints with other wineries in South Africa, California, Australia and New Zealand. Kim's winemaking philosophy is straightforward: "With every wine I make, I aim to let the natural flavour of the grape flow through into the final product. New Zealand grapes benefit from a natural fruitiness. My role as winemaker is to make sure that this succulence and richness is abundantly present in the wine you pour from the bottle." Bravo!Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc is produced from grapes selected from various low-yielding vineyards in the Wairau, Brancott, Waihoepai and Awatere valleys. It is pale straw in color with touches of green. Classic Sauvignon characters of cut grass and tropical fruits are dominant on the nose. The palate unfolds with flavours of passionfruit, gooseberry and subtle herbaceousness. The wine is mouthfilling with good texture and finishes well with cleansing acidity and great length.Enjoy Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc over the next 4-5 years with asparagus, oysters and summer salads.
