Kim Crawford Pinot Noir Schroefdop Nieuw-Zeeland Pinot Noir Kim Crawford 2009
Bright red color with purple and crimson notes. An enticingly aromatic wine showing notes of dark cherries and strawberries with the alluring complexity of well integrated oak. Vibrant, fresh fruit flavours underpinned by nuances of sweet, smoky oak. Good firm tannins give the wine length and weight. You can savour the wine long after it has left your palate. Ideal with lamb or pork chops. Suited to most red meats and exceptionally good as a wine to enjoy all on its own!
One of the reasons why New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs have taken the world by storm. Delightful to the point of exuberance, this is a great wine for drinking alone of with lighter fare.
Nice light Pinot from New Zealand. Somewhere between a bright Oregon and a big dark Russian River Pinot. Lots of light red fruit, long finish, nice acidity, with splashes of bing cherry, tart lemon on the back end and some subtle dark fruit on the mid palate.

WE 89 Pts - Winemakers Notes - This wine puts the NOIR into Pinot; a fine combination of dark cherries and red fruit abound. This is a fruit focused and velvety wine with rich flavours and soft tannins. Lean meats such as veal, venison or turkey, are a great match.
