Kim Crawford Gewürztraminer Gisborne Sp Park-Lands Vineyard 2005
Wine Advocate Review Rated 91 The 2005 SP Park-Lands Vineyard Gewurztraminer was 20% barrel fermented for three months and is much more intellectual: deft touch on the nose with dried apricot, a touch of gooseberry, rose and cut grass, the palate very well-balanced, quite minerally with peach, beeswax and apricot with great definition on the finish - an excellent wine. Wine Tasting Notes Pale straw with green and gold hints. Rose petal, lychee and all-spice. Rich, full-bodied palate with prominent touches lychee and rose petal. The medium-sweet palate is dried by alcohol and restrained acid.
One of the reasons why New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs have taken the world by storm. Delightful to the point of exuberance, this is a great wine for drinking alone of with lighter fare.
