Kim Crawford Chardonnay Marlborough Unoaked 2013
A pale straw color, this unoaked Chardonnay has a rich, fruit-foward nose with hints of pineapple, stone fruits, and melon. It is crisp and clean, and since their is no oak influence, the true expression of ripe Chardonnay shines through. It shows a nutty character and a generous mouthfeel, as well as a long finish.
One of the reasons why New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs have taken the world by storm. Delightful to the point of exuberance, this is a great wine for drinking alone of with lighter fare.
The 2012 version of this wine no longer carries the Marlborough appellation as the older ones did. It just says East Coast. It is a blend of Hawke's Bay and Marlborough. The result is not a good one. This wine is a shadow of the previous wines. There is almost no fruit and the finish is short. Nice color and good acid balance though. My rating -- 80. It is priced as if it were the Marlborough wine and I find that a bit deceptive.
Nicely balanced fruit to acidity. First unoaked chard that I didn't feel was trying to imitate SB.
Decent NZ unoaked chardonnay. Middle of the road with some nice citrus flavors, a little spice, a bit of creaminess and a decent finish. Not overly complex but a good QPR.
Very nice unoaked New Zealand chardonnay. Crisp and clean on the frontend with nice citrus and balanced acidity. Lemon, apricot and gala apple with a very cleansing mouth feel.
Nice unoaked New Zealand Chardonnay. Good, clean, crisp citrus fruits with some minerality. Some complexity makes this a bit better than the normal $10-15 bottles.

Green pear, dried yellow apple and wet stone nuances have good concentration, with tart lemon rind and a hint of balsamic in the finish. Drink now.
Simple fruit flavors of golden pear balance this winersquo;s malty scents of lees. Itrsquo;s a clean, grapey white for crawfish.
This is a plump, fruit-driven Chardonnay loaded with apple and citrus. The winersquo;s medium body and crisp, clean finish should prove versatile with a wide array of foods.
The 2007 Marlborough Unoaked Chardonnay has a lovely floral nose with hints of mango and guava, the palate simple and straightforward, clean and focused with a touch of honeysuckle towards the finish.
Lively, fruity style has pear and lime aromas and flavors, lingering well. Drink now.
A reliably fruit-filled offering, the 2005 version offers honeyed apple, melon and pear flavors carried by a well-rounded and slightly viscous wine. On the soft side, with a pithy note to the finish.
