The 2007 Marlborough Unoaked Chardonnay has a lovely floral nose with hints of mango and guava, the palate simple and straightforward, clean and focused with a touch of honeysuckle towards the finish.
Straw yellow in color. Rich butterscotch with hints of ripe stonefruit and citrus. An approachable and full bodied Chardonnay that shows great length and persistence. Ripe stonefruit and malolactic characters show through well in a style uncluttered by oak.
Poached pear, roasted yellow apple and lemon skin flavors have very good concentration. Drink now.
Colour:Pale straw.Aroma:A fruit-forward nose showing rich pineapple, white stonefruit, and melon characteristics.Palate:A soft, full length palate of intense pineapple and tropical fruits.Food Match:Uncluttered by oak the wine is a great match for seafood, white meats and 'fusion' food.Cellar:Two years with confidence.
This is a plump, fruit-driven Chardonnay loaded with apple and citrus. The wine's medium body and crisp, clean finish should prove versatile with a wide array of foods.
