Kim Crawford Chardonnay Marlborough(2005)
With Chardonnay we tend to ensure full exposure of the grapes during the ripening process. Depending on the vineyards' vigour we use a variety of Scott Henry, Sylvos and VSP. The grapes are harvested on fruit flavour rather than chemical analysis.
aromatic style. The wine was cool fermented in tank and once dry underwent 100 per cent malolactic fermentation to give mouth-feel and acid balance. The wine is sulphured immediately post malolactic fermentation to retain all the flavour.

- Peachy keen, green apple, ripe and rich, creamy texture, pear, crispy, well balanced--not too citrusy, tropical, softer finish, smokey aroma, very fruity, like strawberries and cream, kiwi fruit -- what else ;^), mouth watering. Tied for highest scorer by our 14 person "People's Choice" panel among 12 Chards: 2 first place votes, 2 second place votes, 3 third place votes.
