This wine sold out in six weeks, was critically acclaimed around the world and launched a new career in wine production for Killibinbin founders, premium wine retailers and obsesses "wine nuts". Those long days of selling, promoting and marketing (not to mention the countless tastings) of other people wines confirmed only one thing. We wanted to produce our own wine. The 2002 vintage at Langhorne Creek is regarded as one of the best for many years and has resulted in a Shiraz of great distinction. The bouquet, whilst quiet tight at this early stage, show a lovely combination of lifted red and black berries, spice, earth, tars and leather. This combination of sweet and savoury characteristics follows through to the palate that is rich, ripe and opulent and shows a wonderful balance between fruit, soft ripe tannins, acid and oak. The flavours are vibrant, complex and quiet intense and will continue to develop for many years to come.
