- The 2005 Shiraz Testament, from the Barossa sub-regions of Greenock and Vine Vale, is more deeply colored and glass-coating than the Covenant. It offers up a fragrant perfume of smoke, game, violet, lavender, blueberry, and blackberry. Rounder and richer, it also has more grip and structure, with 6-8 years of aging potential. Drink this powerful Shiraz through 2025. Kilikanoon's winemaker is the talented Kevin Mitchell. The house specialty is Shiraz but Mitchell does equally well with Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Grenache. - Wine Advocate

- I enjoyed this wine while eating a Chicken dish with an overpowering citrus sauce that destroys most wines that are paired with it. The sauce is almost like a syrup. Nevertheless, the Testament didn't back down an inch. Its powerful fruit didn't dominate one way or the other, but wasn't killed by the high sugar sauce. The sauce was toned down by the deep black and brown spices in the Testament the long finish kept me enjoying it long after I set the glass down. A work of art.
