Kilikanoon Killermans Run Shiraz South Australia 2009

External Review by We Speak Wine:

A terrific value, the 2009 Killerman's Run Shiraz is full bodied, creamy in texture and endowed with a long, velvety finish. The dark berry-black cherry fruit is big, but balanced by notes of cedar, mocha, chocolate and vanilla. Drink it over the next few years. Vivid ruby. Assertive aromas of black raspberry, cracked pepper, licorice, mocha and violet. Lively and open-knit, with a silky mouthfeel, fresh red and dark berry and spice flavors, and gentle creamy tannins. Finishes with notes of licorice and pepper and refreshingly tangy cut. Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2009 Killerman's Run Shiraz gives notes of warm black cherries and blackberries with hints of bacon, loam and cloves. Full bodied with a medium level of grainy tannins and nice backbone of acid, it has a long berry laced finish. Drink it now through 2015.
