Kerpen Riesling Kabinett Wehlener Sonnenuhr 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

Terry Theise: (discernable but not obtrusive sweetness) CORE-LIST WINE. It showed a green catty aroma that recalled what I've come to think of as the ladybug smell. What's below it is good, if a little tannic; I allowed for a freshly-bottled wine, but this is one to watch warily if hopefully, I'd say... 89 points Wine Spectator: Bright and tangy, featuring a juicy core of apple and citrus flavors supported by fresh acidity, with notes of lemon cake showing on the minerally finish. Drink now through 2027. 68 cases imported.

These have ensured and continue to ensure that a vineyard like ours is built up, managed and developed over eight generations to be passed on to the next generation. Thus, wine is and remains the home and the future of our vineyard. Read less
