Predictably crisp and fresh, Kenwood's Sauvignon Blanc doesn't disappoint, but doesn't inspire either. Starts with hints of peach and melon and lingers with a hint of oak and grass. A little steely and metallic at the end. A low-commitment wine that is nice on a hot summer day.
This white wine has a good nose. Lots of fruit, melon, mango. Vegetal, herbal, dill, green pea. A bit of spicy notes. A dry wine, with medium body and medium acidity. Light oak. Very enjoyable!
Excellent QPR. Pale gold in color, with mixed citrus and herbs in the aromas and then grapefruit and apple on the palate with a funny note of grilled onions in the finish (perhaps from the oak ageing)? We went with this over a chardonnay with Maryland crab cakes and fennel salad and it worked really well. Would buy more.
