This white wine has a good nose. Lots of fruit, melon, mango. Vegetal, herbal, dill, green pea. A bit of spicy notes.
A dry wine, with medium body and medium acidity. Light oak.

Very enjoyable!

Lively varietal aromas of grass, fresh citrus and herbs with slight taste of melon. Fresh and crisp, with lively body and a lingering finish. The Sauvignon Blanc fruit was harvested in September of 2005. The vintage was characterized by a long, somewhat cool growing season which gave the  resulting wine excellent structure and a crisp finish. The lots were fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel to retain the natural fruity flavors of the Sauvignon Blanc grape.  A small portion was aged in 2000 Gallon French oak tanks to mellow the wine without adding oak character. Predictably crisp and fresh, Kenwood's Sauvignon Blanc doesn't disappoint, but doesn't inspire either. Starts with hints of peach and melon and lingers with a hint of oak and grass. A little steely and metallic at the end. A low-commitment wine that is nice on a hot summer day.

Excellent QPR. Pale gold in color, with mixed citrus and herbs in the aromas and then grapefruit and apple on the palate with a funny note of grilled onions in the finish (perhaps from the oak ageing)? We went with this over a chardonnay with Maryland crab cakes and fennel salad and it worked really well. Would buy more.
