User Reviews for Kenwood Pinot Noir Rose United States California Sonoma County Russian River Valley Red
Add your reviewA surprise at $15! #2 rated wine at my recent May horizontal tasting of 2007 Sonoma pinots (the Belle Glos Meiomi was #1). Smooth, nice color, immediate attack of berries and cherries. Seemed to not benefit from breathing.
Subtle cherry and white pepper finish. Great wine, great price, great year -- one of my favorites.

Soft, with pretty cherry, spice and cola tones highlighted by roasted herb, cedar and toasty oak character. Drink now through 2005.
Offers an earthy cherry-rhubarb edge, with mineral and spice flavors that are clean and pleasantly earthy, ending with a baked pie flavor and firm tannins. Drink now through 2013.
Fairly light in color and texture, with a blend of cherry and herb flavors couched in medium acidity. Finishes moderately, with hints of tea and earth. Drink now through 2002.
This wine preserves the region's vital characteristics (well-ripened fruit and spice), although they've been diluted by necessity for commercial purposes, what with 28,000 cases produced. Light and soft, with delicate yet surprisingly delicious black-raspberry, smoke and cinnamon notes.
Breathe in the oak and apple wood smoke, breathe out the scents of cherry skin. This wine is tight and light in body, yet there's a gelatin thickness backing up the texture. The fruit is shut down and needs to grow into that texture - as it may well do over the coming year.
Winemaker's Notes:
Fresh fruit aromas of cherries and red currants followed by subtle aromas of nutmeg and forest floor; excellent acid balance with smooth and supple tannins. Food Pairing: Wonderfully versatile on the table, this Pinot Noir can be served with a wide range of foods, including pork, chicken, lamb and salmon.
