- The nose was very Pinot Noir: some black fruit, leather and barnyard. The taste curve was easy to describe and very enjoyable. Nice, clean fruit upfront and a leathery and smooth finish. I found the transition between the start and the finish to be interesting as it felt like the tide coming in. Sometimes the taste was the fruit other times the the leather until, eventually, the latter took over. The finish was medium length. This was good with or without food but really shined when matched with my Duck
