Add your reviewInviting nose of sweet vanilla, mint/forest, hints of earth, leather, red fruit (cherry berry). Heavy on the tonque, nice acid, with lip-smacking, deep, and notably sour fruit (raspberry, red currant, and cherry) starting on the attack and continuing through the mid-palate and finish. Balanced but favors the fruit. Well-integrated, off-dry. Finishes of the sour ripe fading fruit.
Up front on the nose, is bitter chocolate. Red and black fruit and freshly turned soil. On the palate, spicy tones and an almost zinfandel-like spice with rustic berry frame. It's richly flavored, but has high alcohol which detracts a bit. Good flavor, but it finishes rather hot.
