- WOW. Pleasing dark, maroon color. Nice mild fruity nose. First taste, well...bleh? Nothing strikes me as "mmmm" about this wine with first the first taste. Actually quite bland to be honest. Nothing jumps out to me. The finish is even worse. It started out bland and finishes extremely bitter. Leaves me smacking my lips and trying to figure out "what the heck just happened in my mouth?" I'm still trying to figure out what it is without having to take another sip. I'm not quite sure if it's overly tannic; or ... hmmm, just not sure. The finish isn't very dry, it's just overly read more...bitter. I had actually originally rated this wine an 83, but now I'm going back and rating it low 70's. Sorry, it's just not very good on my palate. (hide)

- Aromas of fresh raspberry, blackberry and cherry are tinged with hints of smokey tea. Subtle tannins offer structure, texture and complexity to this delicate yet full bodied wine. Randy Ullom, Winemaster
