Wonderful apple and pear scents. Smooth going down.
Well balanced fruitiness, acid and oak flavor.
A friend brought this over and after hanging out in the fridge for a while, I decided to open it up. Always a nice surprise when the obligatory guest-provided wine turns out to be a good one. Loved the pineapple and the finish.
Hate to be a spoiler on this much- acclaimed wine but i found it to be simply 'sour' and with far too much of a charred taste, would have simply liked the grapes to speak for themselves, much too ambitious
I Loved this wine, smooth with great taste, was sorry when it was gone.
There's not much that I know about wines except I know what I like and KJ Grand Reserve is the best Chardonnay I've ever had. It is smooth and does not have the bite that most other Chardonnays have. It's hard to find in my area (Vintner's Reserve is all over but is not as good). Try a bottle...I think you'll like it.
Excellent everyday wine. Love to drink it alone or with a meal.

Wine Advocate ReviewThe 2006 Vintners Reserve Chardonnay is certainly one of the best Chardonnays for the money. This wine, which all comes from coastal vineyards owned by Jackson, is 90% barrel-fermented and put through 100% malolactic, which is remarkable given the quantity of wine made. The wine is also consistent unless it is beaten up in the distribution chain or by retailers with questionable storage. Crisp orange marmalade and lemon oil notes as well as some tropical fruits always characterize this wine, which seems to show very little evidence of oak, with gorgeously lush fruit, and zesty acidity in a fresh, lively style. Its a remarkable value. It is best drunk in its first year of release, before the newest vintage (2007) hits the market.Wine Tasting NotesThis exceptionally high quality wine is bursting with tropical flavors such as mango and pineapple. Delightful aromas and flavors of peach, Gala apple, lemon, lime and pear are layered with butterscotch and subtle toasty oak. Fat and sensual, yet dry and balanced with a long, lightly-creamy finish.
"Lush and tropical with bright citrus notes and ripe apple flavors. Sur lie aged, and beautifully balanced, this Chardonnay is richly layered with elegance and a creamy texture enhanced from the gentle stirring of the lees. A delight for the senses." – Randy Ullom, Winemaster. Scored 90 points by Robert Parker.

Notes of Fuji apple carry throughout this beautifully balanced and delightful Chardonnay. Lushly layered with an enchanting creamy texture and a finish that lingers on and on.
Toasted hazelnut aromas lead to a supple mouth feel with flavors of brown butter and honey.
