I felt like I was drinking juice. Much too fruit-forward, and so acidic the second glass practically burned my tongue--which was a good thing because I couldn't taste it as well.
I thought this was a wonderful chard for the middle of the road, everyday drinking. Oaky for some, but I like oak.

A blend of Santa Barbara, Monterey and Sonoma in true K-J style, and very good in a generic sort of way. What it lacks in terroir it makes up for in flamboyantly ripe fruit. Impresses for its lush, creamy texture, layers of smoky oak and long, spicy finish.
Produced from Jess Jacksonrsquo;s vineyards in Santa Barbara, Monterey, and Sonoma. It possesses plenty of ripe tropical fruit, medium body, more oak, but less charm than the Vintnerrsquo;s Reserve Chardonnay, largely because of the wood component.
