Deep purple color with a nose of dark red berry, black cherry and toffee. The palate is tart black cherry and cedar with hints of cocoa and licorice on the finish.
Cabernet the old fashioned way. Delicate berry and vanilla scent gives way to a slightly cedar/alcohol scent. Nice mouth feel is slightly hot and the tannins could stand a little more refinement. Lingers for a while. Good but not great value for $23-$25 Cdn.(try the J Lohr 2005 Cab Sav instead)

tried this at a blending/tasting event after we tried our hand at blending from 5 different wines. this had great fruit, suburb nose and nice finish.
On the nose i get a hint of apple, and dark fruit. The nose is just very poor though, not impressed. On the palate I get black liquorice, some dark chocolate, dark fruit, I also get some cherry. I think this is a very unbalanced wine. The acid/heat is way over powering. The tannins need alot of refinement. The price point of 20 bones is far to high for this wine and for 20 bones you can do better. Im going to give this wine 70 points and a major pass.
