Kathryn Hall Vineyards-Cabernet Sauvingon Napa Valley 2003
The wine's saturated purple color leads to aromas of blackberry, jam, tobacco, spice and smoke. Complex flavors of creme de casis and blackberry pie with hints of black licorice, leather, and spice. Powerful structure, gorgeous opulence, and a sumptuous mouthfell culminate with the lingering echo of balanced tannins.

Velvety. Unlike the winemakers notes, I did not taste a lot of spice (which I personally don't like a lot of)... the blackberry pie and casis was spot on. This bangs a ton of fruit, yet without being overpowering. Loved it.
this wine is one of the best the best i have tasted. it had enough spice lingering to make me want to keep drinking more, and the warmth of the ripe fruit was superb!
