This was a perfect wine for me. This was complex and full flavored. I would highly suggest decanting it before serving. Read more

The color of this wine is so deep you may lose your self in it. The aroma is comprised of Voluptuous Plums and Blackberries. Flavors begin at plum and choclate with notes of slate and subtle tobacco and go on to a silky and seductive finish. Opulent texture and lush layers leave you relaxed and satsified!
This is a wine that could do well to age! That's not to say it isn't delicious right now, and with a few hours in the decanter it really opens up nicely! Its supple, lush and then the finish really strips your mouth - The nose reminds me of toys I had when I was little that smelled like plastic and fruit - Strawberry Shortcake even. There are glorious plush flavors of fruit and tobacco on the palette that lead to a luscious and lingering finish of summer fruits and currant. Try an experiment for me and age a bottle for 10 years- let me know how this wine grows up. I can't trust myself to have a bottle in the house without opening it immediately!
2005 offered a long and even growing season and yielded deep wines with soft, mouth-filling tannins. A bold mix of classic Cabernet flavors unfold in the glass with lavish plum, blackberry and cassis fruit accompanied coffee, chocolate and toffee typical of hillside fruit. New French oak barrels from the Nevers and Troncais used during aging add spice and sage aromas. Match this Cabernet Sauvignon with full flavored dishes including beef, lamb and duck. While this wine will age gracefully beyond ten years, we recommend decanting several hours in advance if consumed before 2010.
Ladies if you've seen this movie, you know what I mean. . . although I don't REALLY like telling people what they want to hear. I'd rather tell the truth. Now, the truth can change. . . . but in this case, I think instead of the truth changing for the bad, it will only change for the good. All metaphors aside. . . this wine is worth it. There is sweet berry fruit on the nose that leads into an almost baby powder aroma. The mouth feel is round and lush with notes of cassis up front expanding into an espresso like finish that lasts for days. Very food friendly and approachable, this wine is fantastic now and will last several years in the bottle. And that's no lie. . . I'm not even stretching the truth!
